She shook her head, meaning that the reason for her slaying them was more than that.

"There is a subspecies of vampire that preys upon my village at night. Humans who are bitten by purebloods become one of them. That is why I slay them, that and it is what I am ordered to do. But..."

She took a step closer to him, looking at him closer for just a moment.

"There is something about you that is different from them. I am convinced that you are not one of them."

"Thank you for believing in me. The reason I come to you this night is because I saw your performance. I was rather pleased with how you performed. Your performance was spectacular. I could almost hear the feelings and words that were being spoken in your performance."

She smiled.

"Thank you. But it seems I disappointed everyone else." She looked down and sighed, but then looked back up at the man. "I am sorry for drawing my weapon at you!" She bowed her head in apology. "I thought for sure one of them had come to bite into me! You have fangs like them, and their eyes have a red glow when they are thirsty or when they feel mischievous. Except yours are more ruby like, and theirs are like blood. So please forgive me!"

"It is ok. I don't blame you for mistaking me for one of them. It happens to me a lot. And as for that crowd, they do not know good talent when they see it. Oh yes, I had almost forgot to introduce myself. I am Kalinor Cindrius. And what might your lovely name be?"

"Natsumi." She answered him pleasantly. "Call me Natsumi."

"Very well, Natsumi. It is a pleasure to meet you."

(As he had said what he did, he bowed politely to her. After bowing, he stood up tall and leaned up against the wall. He crossed his arms over his well built chest as he continued to look at her.)

"Hai! It's the same for me as well."

Natsumi smiled with a nod. Then she looked to the side.

"Um... It looks like I won't be doing anymore shows tonight. At this time, I would be going back to my village."

"Aww. That is quite a shame. I was looking forward to seeing you perform some more. I do hope we meet again in the future."

(As he said this, he had gotten up off the wall. His arms were uncrossed as they hung to his sides.)

"Mmm... Well..."

Natsumi put her weapon back in the obi of her yukata.

"I did not bring with me the necessary things to fend off those things. So maybe you can escort me back home?"

"That sounds like a good idea. I would be honored to guide you home.And don't worry, none of those monsters won't harm you. I will make sure of it."

Natsumi then began to lead the way out and back to her village. She left the entertainment house and through the town. But for the sake of not being seen by her higher ups, they had to take a secret path she made through some trees, walls and rocks.

"I have to keep evidence away that I was in that town." She explained. "If the leaders of my village find out I was doing such things, I would be in lots of trouble."

(Kalinor had followed beside her. He looked around at the trees and his surroundings. By doing this, he was keeping an eye out for any vampires. It did not look as if there were any threats in the area. However, he kept his guard up. When he heard Natsumi speak, he grew disgusted of her higher ups. As they walked through the secret passageway, he spoke to Natsumi.)

"Your higher ups sound very old fashioned."

"Old fashioned, you say? I don't know about that. It's just the way it's always been." Natsumi said with a frown, as she did not like their rules but still had to follow them.

Soon they reached the village. Natsumi led Kalinor out of the secret passage way once they were there. Running up to Natsumi was a very small brunette girl. She had open arms as if she was going to get a hug from Natsumi.

"Sister!" Her high pitched voice exclaimed. "Sister! You're ba--" She stopped and paused, seeing Kalinor. She went from cheerful to extremely frightened. "Be-behind you! Sanpaia!" She ran away from them both, going back to the house she came from.

"Mieko!" Natsumi said, trying to stop her so she could explain.

(Kalinor did not react to the girl's fear of him. Such things were natural for him. He just stood there and watched Natsumi and the frightened girl.)

"Sanpaia!" The little girl continued to cry out. "Natsumi! Get away from him!" She fell to her knees and began to cry loudly.

"Mieko! Be quiet! You'll get us all in trouble." said Natsumi as she went and knelt down to Mieko. "He is nothing like that. Kalinor is of a different kind of person, and he is not harmful to us. Come on, let's go to the back springs." She helped Mieko stand back up after comforting her. She then looked at Kalinor. "You may come, too. But make sure you're not seen by anyone but us."

Natsumi took her little sister past the house, going to the springs behind it.
