[Captain Jade Sparrow]

"Ah I see. Then in that case, welcome to life as Quartermaster of the Sleeping Hermana."

Jade searched down into her torso garment and withdrew from it a chain with a shining gold pendant on the end of it. Engraved on it was a depiction of the Jolly Roger symbol broken into four sections. She set the necklace on the table and slid it across over to Kalinor.

"As long as you have that, everyone will recognize you as Quartermaster of this ship."

[Kalinor Cindrius]

(Kalinor had picked up the necklace from the table. He had placed it around his neck as the golden pendant dangled down. After he had put the necklace, he looked across the table at Jade. His facial expression was one of utmost sincerety.)

"Thank you, Jade. I am honored to be accepted into your crew. I promise I will not let you down."

[Captain Jade Sparrow]

"Good. Then by not letting me down, you should know just what to do as a Quartermaster."

Jade stood up from the table and paced around the room as she then began to explain the authority and rights Kalinor had in his position.

"You are of a higher rank than any other officer of this crew, with the Captain as an exception of course. You may veto my decisions whenever this ship is not chasing a prize or engaged in battle. You will also take part in being responsible for discipline, assessing punishments for crewmen who transgress our Pirate Code. You will also be the one to lead the pirate boarding party when coming aboard another ship."

She then turned around from where she was pacing and looked at Kalinor.

"Savvy?"

(Kalinor had watched as Jade paced around. Taking in every word she had to say, he had accepted these responsibilities. He had then stood up from his seat. After she had finished speaking, he had knelt down on one knee and lowered his head in a bowing fashion. He showed the utmost sincerity to his Captain as he bowed to her. He then looked up to her and smiled politely.)


"I accept these responsibilities and duties, Captain."

[Captain Jade Sparrow]

"Excellent, matey. Now then, come along. We need not to have our crew waiting any longer."

Jade went for the door of the room that lead outside the cabin. She expected Kalinor to go with her.

[Kalinor Cindrius]

(Kalinor had risen to his feet. As Jade had expected of him, Kalinor fallowed right behind her. The sound of his silver chains had clanked together lightly with every step he took.)

[Captain Jade Sparrow]

"Hear, hear... Lend me your ear..." Jade said to the crew once they got outside and to the upper deck. Everyone quieted down from their outrage and turned their attention to the captain. Jade held up the pendant that was hanging from Kalinor's newly given chain and shined it for all to see. "Say hello to our long needed Quartermaster."

"What?!" They all barked. "Captain, this is ridiculous! You trust him too much too fast! You don't expect us to follow the authority of him!"

"And if you go against his authority you will be punished as we both see fit." Jade replied calmly. "If in worst cases, you can even struggle in the sea until you inevitably die. Looks like you all have no choice but to submit to Cindrius here."

"Cindrius?! Lemme guess, Captain. Kalinor Cindrius?"

"Oh, right. I said Cindrius, didn't I?" Jade covered her mouth with her hand as if she spilled the name by mistake.

"You are drunk again, aren't you, Captain!"

"Oh shut it, mateys. You're ruining the ceremony. If you won't believe me, then Kalinor here will prove to you who he really is. Kalinor." She looked over at him. "The show is yours now."

[Kalinor Cindrius]

(Kalinor stepped forward. He looked at the crew who had doubted his identity. He smiled with friendliness to the crew members.)

"Your Captain is not imagining things, fellow crew members. I am indeed Kalinor Cindrius. I have come to join forces with your Captain to help her in obtaining what she has been long searching for. It is in my duty to help those in need. I suppose you would like proof of my identity to you. Allow me to show proof, that I am who your good Captain claims I am."

(With those words said, it was time for Kalinor to prove his identity to the crew members. He had thrown off his robe and his cloak. He was now wearing only his pants and boots as his torso was revealed. An aura of pure light and pure darkness had surrounded him. A marking had appeared on his chest and on his back. This marking was that of an eye in the center of a broken four point star. From these two seals, more markings had began to spread over Kalinor's body. Soon, his whole body was covered in glowing markings as ten wings spread from his back. 5 of the wings were pure white angel wings while the other five were pure black demon wings. He had then outstretched his right hand to the crew. His hand had shined with white and black as a gem had magically appeared in each of their hands, including Jade's. In a voice of light and in a voice of darkness, Kalinor had spoken to them.)

"Need I do anything more to convince you?"

[Captain Jade Sparrow]

The crowd was dead silent and wide eyed. When Kalinor asked if they needed to see more, they nervously shook their heads. Apparently they were convinced enough now.

"Very nice presentation." Jade said with a smile. She tucked the gem into her red scarf that was tied around her waist. "Alrighty then! If you refuse to live on this ship with this Quartermaster, then answer me this." Her eyes were back on the crew. "Where else will you go? No, where else CAN you go? Nowhere? That's what I thought. Now on we go! To the Sea of Lost Memories."

The crew then went about their duties, adjusting the sails of the ship and readying the ship for steering. Jade only leaned against the outer wall of the cabin, watching her crew as they worked.

[Kalinor Cindrius]

(Kalinor's winged had faded along with the markings along his body. His black cloak and other clothing had magically appeared on his body. The Twilight Sorcerer had heard Jade's commands. He obediently went to go help the crew.)

[Captain Jade Sparrow]

"Ahem! Cindrius!" Jade called out to Kalinor, not moving from her place. "Their work is not yours. You need not to do their work for them. WE, are free to do what we want."

[Kalinor Cindrius]

(Kalinor had then stopped what he was doing. He walked over to the Captain. He stood beside her. He scratched the back of his head as he felt embarrassed for his ignorance.)

"I apologize, Captain. I am still a bit new to this sort of thing."

[Captain Jade Sparrow]

"New places can always be a bit confusing at first, aye? No worries. You can access our Pirate code in the cabin anytime. That will be your reference when you need reminders."

Jade opened the door behind her without turning toward it. She looked over her shoulder, looking past the door.

"I'm thinking we should take it slow until dawn. Until then, the rest of the night should be reserved for celebrating the debut of our Quartermaster. Savvy? DonDon! Prepare Feast, Matey!"

After that, she shut the door again and looked ahead.

[Kalinor Cindrius]

(The Twilight Sorcerer was ever so flattered by the young Captain's hospitality. He smiled to Jade and bowed once more.)

"I am honored by your hospitality, Beautiful Captain. You indeed know how to make one feel welcomed. Thank you."

"Beautiful,aye? I like that."

The rest of the crew had then finished setting the ship to proceeding. Jade ordered them to have the ship run slowly, and they would pick up the pace in the morning. The crew's work was done for the time being, and everyone was to go inside the cabin. Soon, the long table in the room was filled with lots of food and rum. All fine foods of course stolen from other ships and islanders that they encountered in the past.
